Weekend in Review: A Whole Lot of Bull

There is going to be a whole lot of pics and not a lot of writing. Because you cannot adequately explain the absolutely wonderful ridiculousness of the Dewey Beach Running of the Bull (otherwise known as 2 guys in a bull costume) in words. Not sure what that is? See my post HERE.

And also because I am crazy busy and will need to follow up with a more thought out post later, but I don’t want people to mistakenly think my absence is due to my being the woman that was gored by the bull- that happened at the ACTUAL running of the bull. I know, you can see the potential for misunderstanding.

So, here is the 17th Annual Dewey Beach Running of the Bull…in pictures.

This was as close to an incident of goring we get at the Dewey Bull Run.

Why were there mimes? Not sure. Same reason there were people in Santa outfits.

There is a stage and bands and media and the mayor and Elvis. Yep….

Because what would the Bull Run be without Ernest (that is his bust up there) and Elvis.

Michael gave the Bull Run rules, one of which he made everyone repeat: “I will not pee in public.” Hm. Good rule.

So, there you go. My day in pictures. It was tons of fun and I loved hanging out with my friends pretending I was 20, though the next day I really felt my real age. It was nice to have a weekend to pretend I wasn’t a married mom of 2 and when the weekend was over, I was very grateful that I am now a married mom of 2. That means my weekend away did it’s job.
